Job Description
These workers compose a diverse group, repairing cameras, medical equipment, musical instruments, watches and clocks, and industrial measuring devices. Their jobs all require attention to detail in fixing instruments and equipment, but their tasks vary according to speciality.
Working Conditions
Workers in this occupation must follow safety precautions and use protective equipment, such as hardhats, safety glasses, and hearing protectors. Most work full time in manufacturing facilities. However, they may be on call and work night or weekend shifts. Overtime is common.
Minimum Qualifications
Eighteen (18) years of age as of application, high school graduate or GED equivalent, and provide a transcript. Education must include one year of high school algebra with a minimum grade of “C” or an equivalent post high school placement test or course. Must have Limited Energy Technician ‘B’ license or a license of equal or greater value.
